A spontaneous street protest has erupted in several of the major population centres in Lebanon. Around ten thousand angry people descended on the main market square in Tyre to demonstrate their anger at the Israeli air strike earlier today in a town just struck by an earthquake.
Emergency services and local government forces are overwhelmed. Police have tried to maintain order but have not managed thus far.
