REUTERS (Tyre) --
It appears that the Lebanese Prime Minister has imposed a curfew on Lebanon's southern city of Tyre. Loudspeakers ordered citizens to return to their homes and not pose any resistance to the authorities.
A statement by the Prime Minister's spokesman confirmed only that there was a ban being put in place on mass gatherings and mass demonstrations in the city.
