Accident? Israeli planes shot down by Lebanese military

Independent media have verified that two Israeli F-15E fighter aircraft were shot down within the past hour by the Lebanese military. It is unclear what the motive behind this move was, as the Lebanese have no operating air force and it is clear that no other aircraft could have been in Lebanese airspace.

While some observers have pointed to the fact that the Haifa rockets were also fired by a regular military vehicle that was taken control of by Hezbollah, it is inconcievable that the well-defended missile site from where the missiles were apparently launched, located well into northern Lebanon near Anfah, could have been overrun by Hezbollah this quickly.
